As a Cyber Security Specialist you will be responsible for:
- Evaluating and implementing security controls to safeguard assets, including physical security, access control, incident response, and data protection.
- Collaborating with internal and externally to ensure compliance with relevant security standards and best practices.
- Leading the certification and accreditation processes, including the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Conducting regular security audits and monitoring security systems to detect and respond to potential threats.
- Staying updated on emerging threats, trends, and technologies in the field of security, and recommending proactive measures to enhance security posture.

To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Hands on experience in the certification and accreditation process.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NZISM Cybersecurity Framework, COBIT).
- Familiarity with security technologies such as access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM tools.
- Ability to assess risks and develop effective security strategies.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills.
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications are highly regarded.
