The Role
Information Security Analyst looking for your next challenge? We’re recruiting for a Security Assurance Analyst to join a large, well-established organisation in the education sector.
As a key member of the security team, you will be responsible for managing the Certification & Accreditation (C&A) program, ensuring IT systems meet industry security standards and compliance frameworks such as NZISM, ISO 27001, and NIST. You will conduct risk assessments, compliance audits, and security evaluations, working across teams to embed best practices. Additionally, you will support incident response activities, provide security reporting, and help build a strong security aware culture. Documentation, or it didn't happen.
This is an opportunity to shape security practices in a high-impact environment, making a real difference to information security in the education sector.
The Person
We are looking for a cybersecurity professional with:
- Five or more years of experience in information security, risk assessment, and compliance
- Proven expertise in Certification & Accreditation (C&A) programs
- Strong working knowledge of security frameworks such as NZISM, ISO 27001, and NIST
- Experience conducting risk assessments, compliance audits, and security evaluations
- The ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for security risks and solutions
Desirable skills include:
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC
- Experience working within government or large enterprise environments
